  Oh my, let me just say that it's a budget motel, so you can't expect the Ritz. But our experience echoed many others that I've read here. We had to get off of I-90 in a snowstorm and landed here. First of all, front desk staff - super friendly! The lobby is clean. First impressions were top notch. That's pretty much where it ended though. The minute we walked into the hallway we were blasted by marijuana odors. Our room was clean, although the floor was a bit sticky. There were cigarette burns on the blankets. Our heater worked, but was old and noisy. The matress was quite old as well and sagged in the middle. The bathroom was clean as far as I could tell. It seems a lot of effort was put into making an old motel look like a new one, but under the surface there are a lot of, let's say...memories. I realize there's not much Motel 6 can do to control their guests' behaviors, but I feel if they could at least keep the non-smoking sheets with the non-smoking rooms, that would be one improvement, along with some new mattresses and heaters.
